Projects tracks delivery work against a budget, and Timesheets records the hours that go into it.

Projects

• Name, client, start and end dates.
• Budget and actual cost, so you can see overrun while there is still time to react.
• Status — planning, active, on hold, completed or cancelled.
• Tasks belonging to the project, each assignable and trackable.

Timesheets

• Entries log hours against a project and a date, in quarter-hour steps.
• Approvals let a manager sign off a period before it counts.
• By-project rolls hours up so you can compare time spent against the budget.
